Our monthly, Saturday afternoon clubs are specifically for children accompanied by their families (including siblings). There is no fixed age-range but most children that attend are between 5 and 13.
A child does not need to have a formal autism diagnosis to attend.
We have activities such as table tennis, air hockey, a craft table, books, board games, LEGO and other toys plus a structured craft activity. A quiet room is also available.
A limited selection from our Resource Library will be available at the club.
We ask for a £2.00 contribution per child towards the cost of these meetings, payable in advance. This includes a selection of drinks and biscuits for all the family during the afternoon.
Our Family Youth Club takes place at:
Chandlers Ford Methodist Church, Winchester Road, SO53 2GJ from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm, usually on the 4th Saturday of most months (see our Diary dates page).
PLEASE NOTE: For our 26 October and 23 November clubs, we will be meeting at the Junction Church (formerly Bishopstoke Evangelical Church) in Stoke Park Road, Bishopstoke, due to building work taking place at Chandlers Ford Methodist Church. Most of our regular activities will still take place with the exception of table tennis and air hockey.
Places must be booked and paid in advance as there will be a strict limit on the numbers we can accommodate. This will be on a first come, first served basis with a maximum of 5 places available per family. Providing a sufficient number of bookings have been received 24 hours before the club (to make it viable), additional bookings may be made up until 1.00pm on the day or when all places have been booked (whichever is earlier).
Please note: If, after booking, you find you are no longer able to attend, please contact us as soon as possible so we can make your place available to others.
For The Junction Church (formerly Bishopstoke Evangelical Church): Free parking is available at the Church.
For Chandlers Ford Methodist Church: Free parking is available behind the Church (or in the nearby Fryern Shopping Arcade if the church car park is full). Please enter via the central door of the venue at the rear of the church, adjacent to the car-park (note: not the via the children's garden as previously).
IMPORTANT, PLEASE NOTE:
In order to ensure the safety and security of all those taking part in this activity, and to comply with our insurance obligations, our safeguarding and child protection policy, and the conditions of hire of this facility, we ask that you observe the following:
*Please note: we may have to impose tighter restrictions if there is a significant increase in COVID-19 cases locally.
